Alex Peckham

Alex Peckham is an artist with a particular interest in interactive, cross-dimensional and immersive experiences. His work is often concerned with the loss or subversion of context and the exploration of the preconditions surrounding interaction. In 2007 he exhibited the collaborative work Sixth Sense at the Royal College of Art; more recently he has shown work at the Brighton Dome, Artist Residence and Phoenix Brighton. Nature is also a current theme in his work, as exemplified by the piece Mother which sonifies the human genome. In addition, he has assisted internationally renowned artists’ group Blast Theory in the prototyping of concepts and performances.
